Return the Supreme Court to the
People
Clearly, Israel has ceased to be a true democracy. The leftist-secular-European
elites have taken control of all the power bases in the State. The real basis
for the hegemony of the left is the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice
Aharon Barak. Without shame, the Supreme Court has robbed sovereignty from Israel's
citizens and their representatives in the Knesset. The Supreme Court arrogantly
claims to know better than Israel's citizens and has overruled the People's
values, will and Jewish moral culture fashioned over thousands of years of Jewish
history.
A potential leader whose source of inspiration is not Jewish heritage
will inevitably acquiesce to the Supreme Court and bow before it.
No candidate other than Moshe Feiglin promises a determined
struggle against the Supreme Court. No other candidate promises to return the
state of Israel to the People of Israel.
True Jewish democracy will not tolerate the robbery of sovereignty from the Jewish
majority. As head of the Likud, Moshe Feiglin will promote legislation to ensure
that Supreme Court justices are elected by the Knesset -- the representatives
of the People -- and not by the current method in which the Justices elect their
cronies.
