Moshe Feiglin on Foreign Illegals, Falun Gong and Jewish Ethics

“While Prime Minister of Israel, Binyamin Netanyahu, was thanking the mayor of Shanghai for saving the Jews during the Holocaust, the verdict for Wong Lee, a 51 year old Falun Gong practitioner who had escaped to Israel, was determined. In a few days, she must return to China where Falun Gong adherents like her are persecuted with cruelty. They are sent off to concentration camps where they serve as a human organ bank”. (From the letter of Roi Bar Ilan, head of the Israel Falun Gong Information Center).

Go figure it out. Hundreds of thousands of illegal work migrants cause indescribable suffering to their unwilling Israeli hosts in our lower-income neighborhoods and the State Attorney does not allow the State to return them to their countries of origin. But a refugee whose is truly in danger is extradited to her cruel death. Just as with the debate over the Women of the Wall and the Temple Mount, the Left’s sympathy for human rights hinges not on ethics, but on geography.
