Murder or Jewish Leadership? |
|
Manhigut Yehudit mourns the outrageous murder of Ido Zoldan, may G-d avenge his blood, by Arab terrorists. Ido was an exemplary model of a Jew for whom the Torah motivated his entire way of life; he was a man of deep faith, a settler, a Homesh activist, a pioneer of Jewish labor, a family man and an officer in the IDF. His death is a great loss for the entire nation of Israel.
Ido is the first person to pay with his life for Israel's current misadventure in Annapolis. We pray that he will be the last victim, but we understand that no facts will confuse the wicked gangsters who presently control Israel.
Just hours before Ido was murdered, the government announced the pre-Annapolis release of another 450 terrorists. Manhigut Yehudit made the following statement to the press:
Olmert's sons and other leftists who evaded the draft and left Israel did not endanger their lives to capture the 450 terrorists that Olmert is now releasing. They also will not have to pay with their lives for the terror that these newly released terrorists will bring upon us.
As long as the current leaders are in power, the process of destruction will continue. There is nothing to hope for from them (or from Netanyahu). The train is speeding straight for the abyss and nobody is at the steering wheel. The most urgent thing for us to do is to take hold of the steering wheel -- to stand up and lead.
"Why are you still in the Likud?" frustrated rightists accuse us. "Now? When they are selling Jerusalem you are busy with politics?" So instead of a mass movement to gain control of leadership of Israel, the Right is gearing up once again for the repeat ritual of useless demonstrations -- the same kind that worked so well for Gush Katif. It is not only the Left that will not be confused by the facts. The Right also has its head in the sand.
Yes, we are in the Likud! Yes, we are in politics. Now more than ever. Nobody has any more expectations from Israel's leaders. Nobody has any more expectations from the Left. Nobody has any more expectations from the conventional Right either, or the small rightist parties, -- new and old. What Israel needs now is leadership that is loyal to the G-d of Israel. There is no longer any other alternative. Israel needs a Jewish leadership revolution.
How do we reach our Jewish leadership goal? Manhigut Yehudit has spent the last years slowly but surely building the leadership tool of the National Camp in the Likud. We have made great progress. In the Likud primaries less than three months ago, approximately one quarter of the Likud members voted for the belief-based candidate to lead the nation.
The next major stage in our progress toward leading Israel will most likely be the race for the Likud Knesset list. Our opponents clearly understand that once Moshe Feiglin is elected to the Knesset, the path to leadership of the Likud will be wide open to him. According to all the polls, Moshe Feiglin looks likely to gain a very respectable position on the Likud Knesset list. We are working day and night to connect to the Likud members, and are extremely encouraged by their positive response and yes, also by the fact that our opponents seem so worried.
What are we waiting for? Where are the massive waves of belief-based people registering for the Likud? It is time to stop wailing and to start leading. We must register en masse for the Likud, assure Moshe Feiglin's seat in the Knesset and keep the momentum up until Moshe leads the Likud and brings belief based leadership to Israel!

Manhigut Yehudit Press Release |
In reaction to Olmert's "good will" decision to bestow 50 armored vehicles, hundreds of guns and millions of bullets upon the terrorists, Moshe Feiglin suggests that it would be much more efficient for Olmert to simply shoot a number of Jews every day. "Why bother with all the bureaucracy?" he asked.

| Israel's Jewish Mask: By Moshe Feiglin |

Annapolis is in the air, and the fact that the Arabs refuse to recognize Israel as a Jewish state has painted Israel's anti-Jewish identity leaders into an uncomfortable corner. Outwardly, they demand that the Arabs recognize Israel as a Jewish state. It is an open secret, though, that since the State of Israel was established, its elites and official institutions have done all they could to erase Israel's Jewish identity. The strongest of these elites is the "rule of law gang --" in the descriptive words of Chaim Ramon -- and of course the "watchdogs of democracy --"as Israel's media likes to present itself. There are other elites as well; academia, the cultural elite, public survey institutes, the defense establishment and more. They have all joined forces to reinvent Israel as a secular state of all its citizens.
These elites retain control no matter what the results of the elections. Why, then, don't they openly admit that their goal is to erase Israel's Jewish identity and make it a state of all its citizens? Why do only Shulamit Aloni and the editorial staff of the "Ha'aretz" newspaper openly state their plans? What do the elites have to gain from the Jewish mask that it paints onto the face of the State of Israel?
The Jewish Mask provides the elites with three important advantages that allow it to perpetuate their control:
1. The great majority of Israel's public wants a Jewish state. It is good to give the masses a steady dose of Jewish opium. 2. The State of Israel justifies its existence by citing the persecution of Jews throughout the long years of exile, culminating in the Holocaust. This, of course, is a very dismal justification. It leaves Achmadinijad's question "So why on my account? Let the Germans establish a state for you!" hanging in the air. Nevertheless, without our ties to Judaism, even Shulamit Aloni cannot explain why we insist on inserting ourselves under the fingernails of over a billion Moslems. 3. Money: A lot of money flows to Israel from Jews throughout the Diaspora. There are a lot of people in the "inner circle" who live well from these funds. They are in no hurry to dry up the cash flow that reinforces their power by negating the Jewish character of the State.
Thus, the Jewish Mask remains snugly on Israel's face. Even the symbol of the State of Israel that proudly hangs in all government offices is the ritual menorah from the Holy Temple. But for decades, the powers that be have worked behind the mask to neuter Israel's Jewish identity of all significance.
If not for the Arabs, it may have worked. But the identity-less Israeli needs the Arab to allow him to forget that he is a Jew. For example, Israel's Supreme Court performed amazing contortions to authorize Azmi Bashara's candidacy for the Knesset. It didn't help the Knesset lawmakers to argue that Bashara had broken Israeli law by holding traitorous meetings with Israel's enemies. Despite his meetings and anti-Israel declarations, the judicial establishment worked frantically to find a solution that would allow him to be a Knesset member. Why? Because an Arab in the Knesset proves that you do not have to be a Jew to be an Israeli. An Arab can also share the dubious distinction. And if you do not have to be a Jew to be an Israeli, Israel is not a Jewish state. (By the way, although the Supreme Court authorized the candidacy of the traitorous Bashara, it disqualified my candidacy for the same reason; the fear that Israel may turn into a Jewish state).
It took a long time for the Arabs to realize that their special status affords them immunity from prosecution. But today they understand it well: Currently, 20% of Israel's residents are above the law. The resulting plague of Arab theft, robbery, arson, rape and rioting has become a chronic Israeli fact of life. Israel allowed Azmi Bashara to escape the country even though he had passed critical security information to the Hizbollah so that it would not have to put him on trial. Israel's first Arab minister explained last week that the laws of Islam are more important to him than the laws of the State of Israel. That was an important lesson for all of us to hear. But the most important lesson is being provided to us today by the wall to wall Arab refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state. They are so sure of their immunity that they fearlessly undermine the founding ethos of the State of Israel. Their refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state forces the elites to defend its Jewish mask. What is their alternative? To forgo the Jewish mask perks that perpetuate their control?
It is not clear what will come of Annapolis. But the Jewish state genie that has escaped from the bottle is very important. Now, it is not the Right or the Religious that defend Israel's Jewish identity. It is Tzippy Livni.

| Salary and Substance in Israel's Educational System: By Moshe Feiglin |
|
Kislev, 5768 November, '07
Translated from the Makor Rishon newspaper.
Israel's high school teachers have been on strike now for over six weeks. Their salary is a sad joke. A teacher's salary should be much higher than seaport workers or electric company employees. The responsibility that a teacher shoulders is much greater than the responsibility shouldered by people in much more lucrative professions. Over ten years ago, I had already written an article on the need to raise teachers' salaries to reflect their honored status in Israeli society.
But the ills of Israel's educational system do not stem from low salaries. They stem from lack of substance. Even if the teacher's salaries were doubled, I don't think that something substantive would change in the great values vacuum of the educational system.
The excuse for the low salaries is, of course, that there is no money. But last week the media announced that millionaire Lev Levayev had offered to establish and fund an entire Jewish studies enrichment program in Israel's schools. Educational Minister Yuli Tamir, however, rejected the offer. Tamir's values system is foreign to Jewish values. In both her public and personal life, Tamir represents Israel's small minority that is estranged from Judaism. She is the antithesis of the Jewish majority that wishes to afford its children a solid Jewish identity.
A nation's education is based on its culture. Israel's leftist leaders attempted to create a new culture in our country, disconnected from its original, Jewish culture. What they created instead is the depths of despair and hopelessness that Israeli society is experiencing today -- hopelessness that produces negative and even terminal phenomena.
Since she entered her position as Education Minister, Yuli Tamir has done her best to see to it that Israel's children will not be exposed to their original Jewish culture. She has decreased the hours devoted to Jewish tradition, cancelled hours of Jewish heritage and replaced them with the "heritage of the Palestinian Nation" and Naqba (the Palestinian holocaust, a.k.a. the founding of the State of Israel) studies. She has cut down on the number of National Service girls who teach Jewish studies in the non-religious schools (because they "influence Israeli society with their extreme opinions").Tamir cancelled the Bible studies program in which religious yeshivah boys taught Torah in non-religious schools. She significantly decreased the hours in the religious schools and added them to the Arab schools. She attempted to prevent the Ariel college in Samaria from achieving university status. She made Rabin's Heritage studies a requirement; in other words, the Peace Now heritage is now required study in every classroom in Israel. In addition, she cut back the funding for Israel's colleges and did all that she could to slash funding to religious institutions.
It is no wonder that many Israeli youngsters do not understand what they are doing here. It is no wonder that they cannot complete the verse," Shemah Yisrael," that they have never visited Jerusalem (even though they have traveled abroad here and there) and that as soon as they finish their army service, they stand in line to receive German or Polish passports.
The teachers must be paid much more. But if we do not imbue our educational system with Jewish substance, the positive effect of the increase will be negligible.

Dear Manhigut Yehudit,
Last summer I attended a presentation by the American Jewish Congress at Congregation Ahavath Sholom in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Gil Elan, Executive Director of the Southwest Region made the presentation about various threats to Israeli security, the then upcoming Likud elections and an effort to "explain" the direction of the Olmert government to the American Jewish audience. You know very well the spiel. When it came time for the Question & Answer period I politely asked why he had not mentioned Mr. Moshe Feiglin of Manhigut Yehudit during his explanation of the Likud elections. To say that he was caught off guard is an understatement. His acrimonious and pejorative response to me brought silence to room. The ensuing "Pregnant Pause" only reinforced the import of the topic and his attempt to move to a totally different subject sealed its fate. After the meeting several members of the congregation inquired what I had said that precipitated such a vicious response. I told them to go to the Manhigut Yehudit website, read for themselves and make up their own minds as to how they want Israel to be led. Over the next several days three of the members told me, "thank you" and related that they had signed up for the email newsletter and were planning to join the international branch. We need to "thank" Mr. Elan for his attitude in helping to spread the word about Manhigut Yehudit. May G-d continue to give you the wisdom, courage and dedication to continue in this endeavor.

And I will move [at] my own slow pace... until I come to my master, to Seir
(Genesis 33:14)
Said Rabbi Abbahu: We have searched the whole of Scriptures and do not find that Jacob ever went to Esau to the mountain of Se'ir. Is it then possible that Jacob, the truthful one, should deceive him? But when would he come to him? In the Messianic Era, when "the saviors shall ascend Mount Zion to judge the mountain of Esau" (Obadiah 1:21).
