Moshe Feiglin: Investigate Former Defense Minister Ehud Barak

MK Moshe Feiglin said that he was not surprised to learn of the testimony of former Olmert aid Shula Zaken that former Defense Minister Ehud Barak had received bribes in exchange for weapons deals. In fact, he said, he had been raising this suspicion over the years.

“Does Israel really need the US made F-35 jets?” Feiglin asked.

MK Feiglin called upon Israel to re-evaluate every weapons deal that was signed during Ehud Barak’s tenure and for effective public supervision of the defense establishment. “It is not reasonable for Israel’s citizens to continue to pay billions of shekels for weapons deals that are not motivated by Israel’s security needs,” Feiglin said.

Feiglin also announced that he has sent a letter to the Attorney General demanding an urgent investigation of Ehud Barak.
