Moshe Feiglin: Medical Marijuana Prohibited, but Medical Suicide with Prescription Drugs Fine?
Once again, Health Minister Yael German and the Ministers Legislative Committee have abandoned the ill and IDF wounded who urgently need medical marijuana. The bill that I submitted to the Knesset, which would have immediately relieved these sufferers, was postponed for another half year.
Each and every day, my office receives heartbreaking requests from patients desperate for relief – but for whom the medical system has no answer. This must be stopped. It is unacceptable for the State to send its sons to the battlefield and then abandon them when they suffer from post-trauma. It is unthinkable to prevent them and other patients from receiving the treatment that they need.
In the same meeting in which the ministers decided not to afford increased access to medical marijuana to those suffering serious pain, they decided to afford those suffering from serious illness increased access to medically prescribed poison so that they may kill themselves.
I intend to continue to fight for the ill and IDF wounded – and will not give up!
