Moshe Feiglin: Health Ministry Using Driving Legislation to Wage War Against Medical Cannabis
The Knesset Finance Committee deliberated Monday on legislation that would prohibit patients who use medical cannabis from driving. As opposed to alcohol, remnants of cannabis remain in the body for weeks after its influence has dissipated.
“The Health Ministry is waging war against medical marijuana,” said Moshe Feiglin at the Committee deliberations. “Unfortunately, this war is now being waged through traffic law. Somebody is trying to force chronically ill patients to choose between the cannabis they need and the right to drive. This is a most unacceptable state of affairs.”
